All misdemeanor DUI cases will go to Department 17, located on the second floor,
at the Hall of Justice, 850 Bryant Street.
Department 17 calendar is called as follows:
9:00AM Monday to Friday
- Out of custody arraignments
- Bench warrants
- Pretrial conferences
- Motions to Modify
- Motions to Strike Prior
- Jones/Serna Motion
- Motion to Continue Trial
- Motion to Compel Discovery
- Other motions as set by the court
Friday is the trial call and some cases may also go over to the following Monday
for continued trial call.
11:00 AM Monday to Friday
- Motion to Revoke Probation calendar
1:30 PM Monday to Friday
- In custody arraignments
- Pretrial conferences
- Continued matters from morning calendar
- Special hearing set by court
WARNING! You
only have 10 days from the date of your DUI arrest to request a hearing
with the Department of Motor Vehicles. If you refused the test or
were charged with refusing the test you face a possible suspension
of your license for one or more years. Likewise, if you submitted
to a test which yields a result of .08% or above, you can also be
