Mr. Campbell is Board Certified by the National College for DUI Defense. At present there are very few such designated attorneys in the State of California. Mr. Campbell is recognized as the leader in forming the College's Board Certification Program.

In a survey of 50,000 Northern California Lawyers, San Francisco Magazine listed Mr. Campbell as the DUI Super Lawyer.

Mr. Campbell has received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the National College for DUI Defense. This award has only been given three times  before, and recognizes Mr. Campbell's outstanding contributions to the field of DUI defense.

He is a founding member of the Board of Regents of the National College for DUI Defense, held at Harvard Law School. He served on the Board from 1994-1999; as Assistant Dean from 1998-1999 and was the Dean of College for the 1999-2000 term.

Mr. Campbell is also a member of the American College of Master Advocates and Barristers, admission to which is by invitation only.

Mr. Campbell was elected President of the American Board of Criminal Lawyers in 2007. He has been a member of ABCL since 1987 and served many years on its Board of Governors, as well as several terms as Vice-President.
